A Tribute to Dave Williams

On August 14th 2002, Dave Williams was found dead on his tour bus. His band, Drowning Pool was touring the U.S. with Ozzfest. He died of natural causes. Dave had cardiomyopathy, which is a disease of the heart muscle. This disease prevents blood flow from the left ventricle to the right. Dave was never diagonosed with this disease.

Dave was raised in Texas, he was not the most popular guy in high school. And like alot of other teens, he used music as his outlet. He was a huge fan of rock and metal bands.

The Surviving members of Drowning Pool-C.J. Pierce, Stevie Benton, Mike Luce issued this statement- "We lost a band-mate and a best friend today. Dave Williams was one of a kind, and a friend to everyone he met. He was a good man, and a giving person. Not a day went by when he wasn't giving somebody a little present, and touching everyone around him with his passion. He was full of energy until the day he passed, and undeniably full of life. To the end, we were having a great time. We will miss him."

The Osbournes released this joint statement- "Dave Williams was a beautiful man both inside and out. He is gone, but will not be forgotten. We send out our love to his family and band members."
